Its just an easy way to insult in Dota. They also have a more detailed view and a source named. I would consider a pro, who can pay for living with doto. Average should be if people always get as much points as others lose and cant change over all accounts who played dota every new account would also start with even when its hidden and no account gets deleted in this scenario.
But it doesnt answer how many have that. Personally I consider someone with a stable 3k already above average, even when you can smurf yourself into that or even higher and drop back to where you belong afterwards.
